Create a visitor account

This form will create a so called visitor-account for the STS Web-Frontend. You will not automatically become a member of the Signal Transduction Society (STS), neither are any fees involved, nor will you already be registered for a STS-meeting. The free visitor-account allows you to log-in, register online for STS-Meetings, submit abstracts and access information pertinent to meetings you register for.

All fields in this form are required fields. Once your account has been sucessfully created, we will send an activation token to the e-mail address you provided, so please make sure that you enter a valid e-mail address and that you can recieve mail at this address.

Username		Six to 25 characters, capitalization matters! Letters, digits, the underscore, dot and hyphen are accepted.
Password		Six or more characters, capitalization matters! Use at least one digit or special character.

About passwords

We require some level of complexity for passwords. Do not use your username or variations thereof and include at least one non-alphabetic character. We strongly recommend using unique passwords, i.e. do not use a "master password" but site- or task-specific passwords. If you have trouble remembering usernames and passwords, consider using an application like Password Safe (it is free and open-source) to manage your credentials. Keep in mind that saving your credentials in such an application or in the browser exposes you to data-loss, so create backups regularly.
